Each project holds its own unique set of circumstances, people, skills and creative collaboration. Contributing to the semiotics, look and feel of the project, through teamwork as a tenured make-up artist for film and video production and print photography. As a producer, voice actor, singer, set decorator, or wardrobe stylist, as well. Whatever we choose as we enjoy the process. It’s a moment by moment proposition, an inquiry into discovery.

A polymath and citizen scientist exploring the intersections of science and spirituality, I have a deep interest in philosophy, physics, neuroscience, history and consciousness studies. “Jean is wonderful to work with. A true professional. It has been my experience that she has a great deal of focus and is a quick study. She’s a natural at anticipating what a producer and director might be looking for in the next take. Her energy is contagious…the kind of person you’re immediate drawn to the moment you meet her.”

“I’ll never forget the time an on camera talent couldn’t deliver her lines. After many failed takes, the talent was finally dismissed. Jean was makeup that day, but after a quick trip to wardrobe she stepped in and delivered the lines flawlessly. That’s the kind of person Jean is, multitalented, flexible, easy to work with…and has a great eye.”

“Jean Fox as producer of my educational DVD entitled “Back Anatomy for the Worker” – A Foundation for Safety and Health, far exceeded my expectations. The insight and judgement she used to translate my script into audio visual media was extraordinary. The subject matter of this DVD was complex however Jean was able to provide many ideas from which to choose. Her skill and business acumen were superb. I would highly recommend Jean Fox for video production when bringing words to life.”

Collaboration is key because all the contributors have their own valuable input, photographers, directors, art directors, producers, and craftspeople make your project whole through the sum of their parts. I’ve enjoyed playing many of those parts as an actor, vocalist, producer, and makeup artist. I’ve also contributed to the writing and/or editing of the script, set decoration, pre-production, talent coaching, image consulting, time management, lighting, budgeting… and chicken wrangling. Seriously!

A systems thinker, integrating what I’ve learned through my independent studies and diverse clientele across industries: communications, medicine, politics, entertainment, and education have provided a unique perspective on how they intersect. At Human Engineering Research Laboratories, I learned that my top aptitude is Memory for Design and Visual Perception. Other aptitudes I embody are musical, logical-mathematical (number/reasoning), existential, intrapersonal, and spacial thinking. I never imagined the doors that these skills and aptitudes would open in the creative arts’ industry (that was then in its infancy). Video production.

The experiences I’ve gained over the years from being a model and actor to makeup artist, producer and vocalist helps me support talent, crew, and creatives. Each role has provided me with deep personal insights to what is required of each member of the production team. Noting distinctions in each person, I can embrace multiple perspectives that bring people together to form valuable relationships with Interpersonal Intelligence and effective verbal and nonverbal communications. I advocate for everyone while establishing a protected space for the talent to focus on what they need to do as the key communicator. I focus on how we can leverage strengths and resources to save time, expense and be more efficient. Essentially, I help lead creatives through the various tiers and steps necessary to producing a stellar piece of film, music, art, or experience.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner css=”.vc_custom_1621968020081{border-right-width: 1px !important;border-bottom-width: 1px !important;border-left-width: 1px !important;padding-top: 40px !important;padding-right: 40px !important;padding-bottom: 40px !important;padding-left: 40px !important;background-color: rgba(255,255,255,0.52) !important;*background-color: rgb(255,255,255) !important;border-left-color: #cccccc !important;border-left-style: solid !important;border-right-color: #cccccc !important;border-right-style: solid !important;border-bottom-color: #cccccc !important;border-bottom-style: solid !important;}”][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″ css=”.vc_custom_1621967959698{padding-right: 20px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1621968473598{padding-bottom: 20px !important;}” font_family=”Cinzel” font_size=”d:22|pp:25″]
